about

More distant, almost forgotten fragments of sound wrought from cassette tapes found in the Grimwade Archive.

Shabby and obscured by oxide entropy, yet hopefully they should fascinate, all the same.

credits

released March 1, 2021

All music by Paul A Murphy, except Séance #14 which is derived from "Sainte Nicholæs, Godes druð" by St Godric of Finchale (c. 1065 – 1170).

Sunex Amures: piano and organ.

Recorded live in secret at Digby Stuart College Chapel, Roehampton sometime in 1993, onto cassette tapes of music by Grimwade's Syndrome: a never-band from the closing decade of last century.

Digital transfer, clean-up (such as may be) and extra wow and flutter administered in Sussex, September 2020.
